He's won the TdF the last four consectutive years. Will 2003 be number five?! That would place him in the ultra-elite category. A win next year -- and who can even think about next year, this year's Tour de France just started today -- would mean Lance is all alone. Nobody has won the TdF six times, much less six times in a row. Parents, if you're looking for a sports role model for your children, Lance is your man.
Master will be pinned to the TV set watching each day's coverage. I'll try to be a good boy and not pester him about going to the mountains for walks.
I don't expect this will do much to calm the prevailing national discord between France and America. Why, an American winning one of the most prestigous cycling races in the world?! On French soil no less! Ça a porté un coup sévère !
