There was terrorism in the woods up here the other day. A man hired to protect workers who collect seismic data for the oil companies was mauled by a brown bear, tho not fatally. He shot and injured the sow but that probably just pissed her off. He managed to walk away and get help after two separate attacks. Later on his co-workers tracked down the sow and killed her. Her two cubs ran off. The probability of their survival is small even if they learn how to hunt on their own. If they are discovered by a rouge boar he will kill and eat them.
Another week disappears in the wake of our lives yet the world around us remains pretty much the same, red tooth 'n claw. Death is the inevitable consequence of the laws of physics. A birth in the universe over here increases order, and so over there entropy must increase. Heat inevitably surrenders to the cold.
Moral: Run free and play hard before you are called to balance the equation.
