Thursday, May 27, 2004 Surf 'n Sniff    Who remembers the John Water's film, Polyester? Do you also remember viewing that film in odorama? Little scratch 'n sniff cards were handed out to everyone at the start of the show, and when a certain number flashed on the movie screen you'd scratch off the corresponding number on your card. Recall the gasp of collective revulsion by five hundred moviegoers after they simultaneously scratched number five (or whatever) as a dog shat on the sidewalk. Phew!    Anyway, in an notably more pleasant odoriferous context, a similar techhnology is being introduced to your home computer to greatly extend your multi-media experience.
