In a follow-up comment to that letter published on the paper&#8217;s website, I replied and said&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8220;Frequently, the people who shout at cyclists to get off the road aren&#8217;t even being inconvenienced in the least, they just seem angry.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An <a title=\"Why You Hate Cyclists\" href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/articles\/health_and_science\/science\/2012\/09\/cyclists_are_annoying_why_you_think_they_re_a_menace_on_two_wheels_.single.html#pagebreak_anchor_2\" target=\"_blank\">article<\/a> at Salon provides a theory of why &#8212; something called the <a title=\"Affect Heuristic\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Affect_heuristic\" target=\"_blank\">affect heuristic<\/a>. Can you imagine such a thing?
