Inspiration

Stubbornness
I don't know, it might make a decent inspirational poster, like
these. I'm sure the fruit has succumb by now. We got a measurable helping of snow the other day, and out at the farm where this picture was taken the snowfall is usually heavier. Speaking of weather, Mom 'n Master were home early today, both of them a tad under it. Scratchy throats, mild aches 'n pains, and lethargy. After our walk it was comfy clothes and comfort food on the couch for them. Turkey meatloaf to be exact. Why is that stuff so damn good leftover?
The pace down at .edu continues to be maddening. You'd think a nice wind down as we approach the holidays would be in order, but nooooooo. The pace has picked up if anything, and next week the final exam will be handed down like a sentence. Once that's over there are a number of holiday parties that need attending. One in particular takes place on new year's eve about fifty miles northeast of here. Friends from Alaska are arriving (Yippee!) and one of them is the brother of the party thrower. Some fun is definitely in order. Master claims the biggest difference between .com (where he worked for over twenty years) and .edu is the overall humorlessness displayed by the latter. On average people here take themselves far too seriously. This is not a good thing. Ultimately, it will take a toll on their relationships and their personal well being. The world is not going to shudder if any of them should disappear tomorrow. Sobering perhaps, yet true. Feynman once said, "Science isn't the most important thing, love is." Sappy maybe, but who are we to argue with Feynman?
