Stunned

When you play to avoid losing, expect to lose.

  1. I think I’m finally getting over it. Until next weekend when I see those ugly lime green colors again…

  2. I really don’t know if I can watch football next weekend. The waking nightmare of last weekend still haunts me. Then the other night I woke suddenly around 4 am. I sat bolt upright in bed with both arms raised, and out of the ceiling, one right after another, came footballs, but I couldn’t catch a one of them. They just kept bouncing off my forehead and falling to the floor. I COULD NOT CATCH A SINGLE BALL! And then I turned to look at the person laying next to me in the bed. It was Jordy Nelson! He kept repeating over and over again, “I got it, I got it, I got it…”

  3. lol, I love it! As for Jordy, “As long as he keeps his helmet on” as Kelly would say..

It’s intriguing as fans that we take losses so hard, yet athletes are able to set it aside and move on quickly. I briefly had the Pro Bowl on last night, and I was finding it hard to see Jordy and Kuen and Matthews laughing and whooping it up, dancing, etc. I, like you, have lost total interest in watching football right now after that debacle. Athletes just carry on. But I guess that’s how they can drop a ball or miss that open layup, but then turnaround and make a winning shot or the perfect pass on 3rd and 19 to win the game (Russell!!)

I guess the millions and a free vacation to a warm location help as well. The Super Bowl at this point is just another party, bring out the food and Capt.
